Join us in Downtown Parachute at the Rest Area Park and I-70 Visitor Center for an annual community tradition and festive celebration of the season! Free visits with Santa, light parade, hot cocoa, games, and holiday activities for all ages. The finale of the evening is the Tree Lighting Ceremony and a dazzling Fireworks Show. Bring your family, friends, and holiday spirit for an evening full of cheer and community magic in the heart of Parachute!

This year’s celebration kicks off at 2:30 p.m. at the Rest Area Park and I-70 Visitor Center, where families can enjoy free visits with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies, smores, and a variety of seasonal activities for all ages. Community organizations and volunteers will join in to help create a warm and welcoming holiday atmosphere.
At 5:00 p.m., the community will come together for the annual Light Parade, a favorite local tradition featuring brightly decorated floats, vehicles, and holiday displays as they make their way through Downtown. Residents, businesses, and local groups are encouraged to participate and help make this year’s parade the brightest yet.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., the celebration continues with the traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony. Immediately afterward, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a festive fireworks display will light up the sky, offering a dazzling finale to the evening’s events and creating a memorable experience for families and visitors.
